Distillery

Established in the year 2004, Cihuatán stands as El Salvador’s sole distillery, nestled in the luscious Cihuatán Valley. This boutique, craft distillery takes pride in its hands-on approach, actively participating in every facet of the rum’s creation, from handpicking and cultivating the finest sugarcane to the meticulous bottling process. Under the expert guidance of master blender Gabriela Ayala, the barrels are attentively monitored, and her deep connection to the country’s Mayan heritage serves as an endless well of inspiration, leading her to craft captivating one-of-a-kind spirits.

Nose

The nose reveals a delightful medley of mocha coffee, milky cocoa, and creamy coconut.

Palate

Delightful burst of butterscotch, accompanied by notes of toasted nuts, morello cherry, and walnut. As the flavours unfold, a refreshing touch of green apple and citrus adds a lively twist, leaving behind a wonderfully smooth and sweet aftertaste.
