Distillery

The Destiladora de Alcoholes y Rones Sociedad Anónima, commonly known as DARSA, stands as Guatemala’s premier rum producer. Renowned for its exceptional range of distilled products, including the distinguished Botran rum and the world-famous Ron Zacapa. To make Zacapa rum, DARSA employs the solera ageing method, with barrels stored at a remarkable altitude of 2,300 metres above sea level.

Nose

Luscious notes of cacao and milk chocolate intertwine with a subtle, toasted nuttiness and gentle aromas of winter spices.

Palate

Velvety, with rich chocolate flavours, complemented by notes of coffee and nutty tones of walnuts and toasted nuts. Dry red apples and a subtle hint of spices follow on the midpalate, and a satisfying, lingering finish.
