SINGLE BARREL SELECTION
S.B.S Mauritius 2008 comes from a single cask, which yielded 281 bottles. It is a molasses based rum, which is distilled at Grays Distillery in 2008 and bottled in Denmark in September 2018. S.B.S Mauritius 2008 matured in an ex-Bourbon barrel and received a second finish in a Port cask. Grays & Co Ltd was founded in 1931 and is the leader in the production of spirits derived from sugarcane in Mauritius today
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Strong hints of nail polish in the beginning followed by ripened and pickled pears, almond cake and fresh chestnut.
Palate: Powerful beginning with luscious aromas of orchard fruits going over to grapes from the port finish. Very pleasant soft and lingering finish.
